This club could not have functioned and thrived for the past 50 years without the unselfish dedication and commitment of the many volunteers who have served us so well. As one of the legacies of the 50-year celebration committee, we will be establishing a “Volunteer Hall of Fame”. Our goal is to publicly recognize individuals for their outstanding contribution to our club over the years. This is to be an elite group. We would like to “induct” at least one person per year. We need the participation of the membership to make this initiative meaningful and successful. We are looking for nominations from the members to be presented to the selection committee for consideration. Nomination forms are available at the club along with a drop off box for completed nominations, or see Ron Schmidt for more information. We would like to make the first “induction” at The Gala Banquet Feb. 7 2009. Please have this year’s nominations in by Jan. 31 2009. While there are no monetary awards or lavish gifts associated with this award, it’s an opportunity to be forever recognized by one’s peers and be part of the history of the Comox Valley Curling Club.
